Why buy from Bingley Logs?
Here at Bingley Log Services we take great pride in the level of service we provide to our customers and the quality of the timber we supply. We carry a constantly high level of stock and have never been in a position where we have run out of logs unlike many of our competitors. All our timber is sourced in the UK from environmentally responsible sources and is delivered to you seasoned and ready to burn. We cut our logs to an average of 10” (250mm) in length and split the log along its seam which means that our logs will fit in the majority of single door stoves with ease.
Each regular load we deliver is made up of mixed timbers including the hardwoods Ash, Beech, Sycamore and Oak along with softwoods Pine, Poplar, Larch and Spruce. Each load we deliver is approximately 2 tonnes of logs made up of 50% hardwood and 50% softwood and this is the equivalent of 3.5 cubic metre bags.
You may ask why we deliver mixed loads and the simple answer is to give the best balance of combustion quality and price. Hardwoods burn hotter and longer but cost much more whilst softwoods are cheaper but burn less intensely and more quickly. Whilst we can supply a full load of hardwood only logs we find that for most of our customer this is cost prohibitive and we strongly recommend not burning only softwoods as the rate you will go through your logs will lead to extra deliveries being needed which again increases your costs. Softwoods when burning also spit an pop much more than hardwood which can be dangerous especially in open fires.
Please be aware – many suppliers of logs in the UK claim to be supplying all hardwood loads whilst actually supplying mixed loads - here at Bingley Log Services we deliver exactly what we say we will.
